Tongan Language Week

Mālō e lelei, what a beautiful start to our week!

This year’s theme for Uike Kātoanga’i ‘o e lea faka-Tonga – Tonga Language Week – is: E tu’uloa ‘a e Lea faka-Tongá ‘o ka lea’aki ‘i ‘api, siasí (lotú), mo e nofo-‘a-kāingá, which means the Tongan Language will be sustainable if used at home, church and in the wider community.

Three special super stars from RM11 opened our assembly with a beautiful Tau’olunga.

We got Mail 📩

How cool! Today we opened our letters from our buddy class – Room 2 at Homai school. It was great to hear from them!

After we read our letters we went to find out what our buddies had been working on and posting on their blogs. It was cool to see that we have been learning some similar things. And then we wrote our own letters back.

We can’t wait to hear from them again and to start commenting on their blogs too.

Bye for now,

Room 11
